Prof Banzett gave an introductory talk on the basics of dyspnea prior to a presentation by Prof Erica Heinrich of UC Riverside.

We had the opportunity to study the air hunger responses of four champion breath hold divers.  Harvard Magazine wrote it up.   The study was published by Binks et al 2007

Our lab participated in a lively debate about the right or duty of scientists to participate as subjects in their own experiments.  This was written up in the Harvard Gazette.  One of the participants was Lawrence Altman of the NYT, who has published a book on the topic entitled Who Goes First.
